Delete your poppd account

poppd is a movie tracking and recommendation app for iPhone and Android, operated by Sami Rehman. You can delete your account and its data at any time, from the app or by email.

In the app (quickest)

1. Open the Profile tab and tap the Settings button.
2. Tap Delete account at the bottom of the list.
3. Confirm. If you haven't signed in recently, you'll be asked to sign in again first, because deletion can't be undone.

By email (no app needed)

Email privacy@poppd.io with the subject Delete my account. Send it from the email address you use for poppd, and include your poppd username if you know it. We may reply to check the request really comes from you before deleting anything.

We complete verified requests within 7 days and email you when it's done.

If your account uses Sign in with Apple and you can't use an iPhone, we'll ask you to also remove poppd from your Apple ID (Apple ID settings → Sign in with Apple). That only disconnects the sign-in; the deletion itself is still done by us.

What is deleted, and what is kept

• Deleted: your sign-in identity, profile, username, bio, profile photo, watchlist, watch states, follows, followers, blocks, dismissals and reminders, onboarding progress, taste profile, taste matches, recommendations and push notification tokens.
• Kept but no longer linked to you: your movie ratings, kept under a random id with their dates blurred to the month, so community scores stay accurate.
• Kept for a limited time: crash reports (30 days) and analytics events (1 year).
• Reports you made or that were made about you are kept as evidence, with your account id removed.
